Your application may be refused if you:
- Have a criminal record in the UK or in another country
- Provide false or incomplete information to the Home Office
- Have broken UK immigration laws whilst you’ve been in the UK

You can apply to extend or switch in any route so long as you are eligible as per the conditions of the route you wish to swap to. However you aren’t eligible to extend or switch if you’re only in the UK as a visitor or for less than 6 months except under certain circumstances.
Yes, so long as you’ve applied for an extension to your Family Of A Settled Person Visa before the last one expired you are allowed to remain in the UK until a decision has been made.
You can apply for permission for your children to remain in the UK with you by completing an application form and providing a full copy of the child’s UK birth certificate, including the names of both parents. Note – you will need to do this if you plan on travelling in and out of the UK with your children.
